Window tinting in New Jersey
New Jersey does not allow aftermarket film on the front doors. The useful work is a light ceramic if the glass can take it, and darker film only behind the driver.
In New Jersey, front side windows do not allow aftermarket film. Rear glass can be any darkness. Windshield film stays a clear strip at the top, not a full tint. House and storefront film is not held to that driving rule. This is a summary of published limits, not legal advice.
